”Mikä rugbyssä kiinnosti ja mikä oli mielipiteesi siitä ennen kuin aloitit lajin?”
Kontaktiurheilu on aina ollut elämässäni mukana, aina painista vapaaotteluun. Sofiassa, Bulgariassa työskennellessä lähipubina oli Irkkubaari, missä näytettiin vain rugbya johon jäin koukkuun. Viimevuonna työkaveri yllytti kokeilemaan lajia ja sillä tiellä olen edelleen.
”Mikä on parasta rugbyssä nyt kun on jo pari matsia takana?”
Vaikka peli näyttää ensin kaoottiselta on se todellisuudessa erittäin taktinen peli. Lisättynä siihen, että siinä kunnioitetaan vastustajia, tuomareita sekä yleisöä. Kyseessä JOUKKUEurheilu isolla J:llä.
”Mitä sanoisit henkilölle joka olisi kiinnostunut kokeilemaan lajia?”
Laji sopii kaiken kokoisille, pienille ja nopeille, keskikokoisille ja ketterille sekä isoille ja kömpelöille (joita itse edustan). Tule ja kokeile maailman parasta joukkuelajia!

“What did you like about rugby and what made you decide to want to play?”
I have been always interested about the contact sports from wrestling to MMA. When I was working in Sofia, Bulgaria, the closest “Irish pub” showed only rugby and I started to watch it with huge interest. Last year one of my colleagues convinced me to come and see how it is, and ever since I have loved the sport!
“Whats your favourite thing about the game now that you´ve played some matches?”
I love the fact that even though game seems chaotic at first, it is actually a really tactical sport. It’s disciplined, respectful and it is all about TEAMwork.
“What would you say to anybody who was tempted to try rugby?”
There is a place in a team for all sizes; small and fast, medium sized and for big and clumsy guys like me. Come and try one of the best teamsports in the world!”
